I was contacted by amerigreet and
they told me I have won a trip to Florida. 4 days in Orland and 3
nights then 4 days in Coco Beach and 3 nights at Best Western. With
2 Pass to Univerisal Studios and Kenedy Space Center. Sounds like a
good deal, right? Think again!
There is a one time fee of
$39.00 then it is $5.95/month billed quarterly. They tell you that
after the $39.00 you can cancel your account and not be billed the
$11.95 and you will still be able to take the trip.
I got my
montly statement from the bank. Much to my amazement, FIVE months
later they processed the "one time fee" of $39.00 AGAIN, and used
the same check number (electronic check)! This caused me to go
negative and also to get a $24.00 NSF fee.
After contacting
the company they told me to fax them all the paperwork showing the
double charge and the NSF they caused and they would refund my
money. I checked back with my bank 14 days later and still no
refund. So again I called the company. They said they just got the
fax from the bank today...14 days later.
Their explanation:
"The fax machine may have backed up. Your check is in the mail today
and you should have in in 3-5 days."
I'm no expert but I use
fax machines at work frequetly and they dont "back up" for 14
days.
DONT TRUST AMERIGREET!!

I have
read more of the ripoff reports on this site then checked out the
BBB's website. Even though they said they sent my check out I still
dont believe it. After all, they told me they sent it 14 days ago.
Remember the saying, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me
twice shame on me"? I filed with the BBB anyway just to let the
company (amerigreet, modern marketing solutions) know that I am not
here to fool around, I am here for my money. My next step is to
retain a lawyer. Yes, the cost may be kind of high to do that but in
the end I expect amerigreet to have to pay all lawyer and court
fees.
Checking with the BBB of West Florida I have found that
the company has an unsatisfactory rating with them "due to one or
more unanswered and two or more unresolved complaints." Imagine
that! I am going to go after this company until I get my money back.
After what they have put so many people through, I have to make a
point to them that they cant do business like this and get away with
it. I would like to see the company go out of business, if you can
call it that, to protect everyone else who is
unexpecting.
